About Tara Tavonatti

Tara Tavonatti Moving to Southern California in 1990 from Michigan's upper peninsula to pursue a degree in art, Tara earned both her BFA and MFA in Illustration from The School of Art at California State University, Long Beach. She has also studied abroad in the CSU Studio Art Program at CSU Study Center, Florence, Italy, which is partnered with the Accademia di Belle Arti Di Firenze and Scuola Del Nudo. Working as a professional artist for the last 20+ years, she's investing much of her creative energy into a wide range of projects. This includes Illustration, drawing, painting, mosaics, mural painting, writing, photography and teaching courses at local community colleges. Travel is also an important aspect in her career to develop her work, with nature being her creative muse.
